Take AIM at human health challenges3>
Allos exists to solve problems that advance human health, including drug formulation, faster and more effectively than ever before. By pairing causal AI and other advanced technologies with deep pharmaceutical expertise, we’re building the fastest, most reliable path from scientific opportunity to human health impact.
From a global crisis, lasting ways to advance human health
In 2020, during the pre-vaccine phase of the pandemic, Allos's founders, Aditya V. Iyer, DPhil, and Isaac Z., partnered with a Hong Kong hospital system to build a COVID-19 mortality triaging tool. The goal was to identify which patients were most likely to need a ventilator or intensive oxygen support before their condition became critical, so hospitals could allocate limited resources to the patients who needed them most.
The tool was built and validated successfully. But before it saw broader implementation, the acute crisis had passed, and the founders turned their attention to where the same causal AI approach could make a lasting difference.
They began applying the technology to autoimmune disease clinical trial design, working to reduce risk and eliminate ineffective approaches. That work continues to advance today. However, a series of conversations with pharmaceutical executives led to a different realization.
The same causal AI backbone built for patient stratification could also highly effectively design the chemistry and manufacturing processes needed for successful drug formulation. Allos, as it is known today, was born.
Why Allos?
Traditional drug formulation and reformulation take years, require hundreds of experiments, entail tens of millions in investment, and offer no guarantee of success. Allos's AI modeling directs formulation campaigns before your first experiment, mapping the chemistry, process variables, pharmacokinetics, bioequivalence, and clinical endpoints so you know which formulations are most likely to succeed, and why.

Fewer failed experiments. Faster timelines. Decisions backed by real data.
Every Allos engagement is tailored to your program's specific needs. At the core, our approach stays the same. We put advanced causal AI technology to work solving your formulation challenge. Our technologists build the models and manage the data behind every recommendation, while our pharmaceutical veterans source and manage the right CROs and CDMOs to execute wet lab testing and manufacturing. You get one team handling both the science and the execution.

De-risking and rescuing clinical trials
Allos is working with UCB and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to rescue failed or stalled clinical trials by tracing problems back to their root cause, rather than allowing clinical studies to continue to be based on data that merely correlate with the outcome. The technology, coupled with human expertise, reveals whether a trial failed because of the drug itself or because of how patients were selected, dosed, or monitored. In some cases, a failed program can be rescued through better patient stratification, mapping the bridge from phase II to phase III, or redesigning the protocol altogether.
